  MEET GENEVIEVE
My connection to ceramics began early. From ages 12 to 18, I spent every summer at Idyllwild Arts in an intensive ceramics program, learning on kick wheels, and firing in salt, wood, and raku kilns. Those formative years shaped my deep love for ceramics. I continued refining my skills at the University of Southern California and later spent two years at Beit Benyamini in Tel Aviv, where I focused on throwing large forms and essentially finding my own “style”. I’m now based in Los Angeles and work full-time at Dumae as a design and large-scale production ceramicist, while running my own studio practice focused on custom work.
I create handmade pieces that reflect a balance of function and feeling—dinnerware, vases, and planters that are grounded, organic, and made with intention. Most of my work is custom, thoughtfully designed in collaboration with restaurants, designers, and individuals looking for something personal and lasting.
Nature is my biggest inspiration—especially the ocean. You’ll find soft curves, sandy textures, and sun-washed tones throughout my work. Most of my personal work and developing collections are deeply inspired by my travels, where I absorb textures, forms, and colors from the landscapes around me. My current planter series is about more than function—each piece is a small sculpture, meant to bring a sense of art and place into everyday spaces.
